Consider this: You breathe approximately 20 to 25.000 times every day - and if your body knows how to breathe with great quality, each breath brings you closer to better health, performance and well-being.
This workshop takes the science and art of breath work beyond the group of dedicated yogis and offers techniques that literally everyone -from children to the elderly - can apply and reap the benefits from.

The Breath is the Cure

This Workshop is led by Tom Richter live at GaiaYogaShala (unless measures which allow live events change) and Online via Zoom.

Practitioners and teachers of all levels welcome.
In English.

Schedule:

9:00 - 11:30 and 12:30 - 15:00

Content:

In this workshop we will cover the key mechanisms of how the breath influences literally every process in the body. Unlike the GaiaYoga Pranayama Course which focuses mainly on developing a stand alone breathing practice, this workshop will help you get a deep understanding on how daily breathing habits play a huge role in all kinds of issues.

Also, you will walk a way with a toolbox on how to train good breathing habits in daily life to use for yourself and/or for your clients.

Let’s face it: Not many people are ready to add a 15 minute daily breathing practice. But the amazing thing is that with a focus on daily breathing patterns, one can already get most of the health and performance benefits that a breathing practice has to offer.

Consider this: You breathe approximately 20 to 25.000 times every day - and if your body knows how to breathe with great quality, each breath brings you closer to your goals concerning health, performance and well-being goals.
If, however, your breathing quality is habitually poor, each breath may increase any symptoms you might suffer from.

Topics we will cover in the workshop:

  • A system to develop (for yourself) and teach (to others) good breathing habits
  • The 7 breathing habits in daily life
  • Ways good breathing habits can help you deal with issues concerning heart health and circulation, digestion, overweight, facial development in children, Stress, asthma, allergies, Low energy, tinnitus, aches and pains
  • Ways good breathing habits support sports performance and recovery
  • Breathing practices vs daily, all day breathing habits and patterns
  • Connection between Lung capacity and longevity

As you can see, this workshop takes the science and art of breath work beyond the group of dedicated yogis and offers techniques that literally everyone (from children to the elderly) that is willing can apply and reap the benefits from.
